Hans Langsrud

Capt Hans Langsrud    (Hong Kong and Manila)

Capt Langsrud founded HOL Maritime Services Hong Kong in 2016. A second office was set up in Manila in 2022

During his more than 3 decades long-year career in the Marine industry, Hans has been employed in various roles, including nine years at sea on various ship types. Hans has also been employed as a cargo surveyor at the Exxon refinery in Norway and served as a Master on harbour tugs and patrol boats in the Port of Oslo. In 2001 he came ashore to take a role in chartering and later as a technical adviser to an Oil Major. After that, he was a Senior Risk Management Executive for a leading P&I Club before moving into marine surveying and consultancy in 2014 at top-drawer survey firms in Hong Kong. He is the only Lloyd’s special casualty representative in Hong Kong.

Mr Noel Kimmayong
(Manila)

Noel is a consultant to HOL Maritime Services in a non-exclusive capacity.

Noel is a marine consultant based in Manila, and he specialises in handling marine casualties, including oil spill response. He is a member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying (IIMS) – in the United Kingdom. Noel’s extensive experience in marine casualties and accidents and his practical knowledge and expertise in this field earned him the appointment as Lloyd’s Special Casualty Representative (SCR) in 2023.

During his 20+ years in the Marine industry, he has been employed in various roles. After graduating from the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy, he joined the Philippine Coastguard in 2002, serving on their vessels in various capacities, including Executive Officer. He was from 2007 to 2009 Deputy Chief of Staff for Coast Guard Education and Training. Noel then joined a leading Philippine salvage company as Salvage Master, Salvage Officer and pollution control Officer.

In 2016 Noel founded his own company in Manila, focusing on Oil spill response, salvage consultancy and marine surveying. His company, Clean Boarders Shoretrade corp, is the Vikoma and Miko Marine agent in the Philippines.

Capt Gaurav Bakshi (India)

Master Mariner and a marine consultant

During his 30 years+ career, Captain Gaurav Bakshi has served on various types of ships to the rank of Master. Since he came ashore, Capt Bakshi has served as Commercial Director, regional operations and chartering manager, and the business development manager at Smit Lamnalco. Gaurav has experience as a tug auditor/Inspector, contract manager, vessel operations and chartering.

Capt Bakshi has recently been involved in several salvage operations as a consultant to insurers and owners and as a project manager.

Mr Sharad Gupta  (Hong Kong)

Engineering Consultant and Surveyor
Class 1 / Chartered Marine Engineer based in Hong Kong

Mr Gupta is a consultant to HOL Maritime Services in a non-exclusive capacity.

During his 25+ years in the Marine industry, he has been employed in various roles, including 11 years at sea, mainly with Chevron and then with MSC, serving up to the rank of Chief Engineer before coming ashore. His last role was that of Technical Manager with Misuga Kaiun HK. After that, Sharad spent over 10 years in ship management. Besides being a Member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST), a Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Marine Technologists (HKIMT) and a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineers (India), he is also a Fellow and Executive Committee member of the Hong Kong branch of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
